Check out image. when I bring the curtain wall top close the the floor line above, it suddenly notches it, on the right side a little. See pic. I extended the wall above the floor to show it better. but it still occcurs when at the underside of the floor.

You wouldn't by chance be stretching it up into a shaft opening?
