So I made a custom guard rail w/ 2x4's and I want to save the rail type for our regular projects. Can I save a rail as a family and import it into our regular project template?  If so, how?

Thanks,

AAron

If you have both files open, from the template file go to the Manage Tab and then click Transfte Project Standards. You can Check None and then find Railing Types, Check that box and click OK.
