Hello, I was told that Revit will locate the text file relative to my RVT project file but it is still searching for the keynote text file in the path under "File Location" field. I cannot type or edit the path.. I saved another keynote file right where the project file is saved, but it has not been loaded. What step am I missing to set up a relative path for the keynotes??

Click on browse and find your file.

I did browse to locate the file but how can you make it "Relative"? We wanted to set up our template so that it would search for a Keynote.txt in the same folder as the project file, but it keeps loading the file in the file path even if the relative setting is checked...

This was an interesting question.   We don't do what you are asking for because we want the keynote file to have the same name/number as the project file.   So our keynote file is named "Office Std Keynotes - COPY AND RENAME ME".   Keynotes tend to be project specific and we don't want any mistakes here.

The relative setting set in the keynote box appears to only work once both files exist in the same folder (or keynote in a relative sub folder) and the browse has been used to set the path.  Once that has been done, you can copy the project and keynote file anywhere and the path will change accordingly.
