HI,

I am new to 3D modelling of rafters etc.  I have created a series of rafters along a reference plane so that's fine, but when I come to do a plumb cut on the rafter ends I cannot seem to do it to a reference plane unless I'm in 2D.  I can show the reference plane, and select a rafter to cut geometry with the plane, and the cut geometry plane icon comes up when I do that, but I can't clieck on the reference plane, hence the geometry cut does not occur.

Any thoughts, please?

Just to clarify, I can do geometry cut to a reference plane in 2D but not in 3D.

RP’s are visible only in 2d views perpendicular to the plane. What you see in 3d view (after clicking on Show) is a ‘Work Plane Grid’, not RP.

Cutting in 3d view using RP’s is not possible.
