Hi guys,

Im having trouble editing the size of my viewport for a detail drawing. Within the detail drawing the crop view is set fine but the viewport is much larger. Please see Images.

I notice that when i am in the detail drawing. A box (which is part of the linked file) is highlighted beyond the extents of my crop view. This probably explains why the viewport is larger.

How do i keep everything with the constraints of my crop view. The drawing is set under a view template. Ive switched off the section box under the link within the view template. The box still remains however.

Can anyone help me please.

Thanks

Andy

Please be more descriptive in your postings.

You say detail drawing.  Do you mean a 2D detail view or are you using a model view?

Model views have model windows as well as annotative.   You can set the limits of both and you can turn thm on/off.  When you see something like your second image and assuming that is a model view, you have something off in space ... maybe model, maybe annotation - we have no way of knowing.  Search the limits of the view.

Do a crossing window out in the extreme left area of that view you showed and see how many / what you found.  Just don't cross any of your model.

Done so. Nothing seems out of place

Ive Selected Filter - This is what it says. Please see image.

I think it may have something to do with the linked files. I have 3 of them in the model. Should i switch off some of the elements within the linked files on the assigned view template for my callout views?

All of my other model views show up fine with the crop views when placing to sheets.

Did you read my earlier post?   Did you turn on view crop and annotation crop?

If your linked models are out there, the cropping will crop them.

Yes, the crop view and annotation crop are both switched on. The link extends past both of these crops.

True Revit links cut just like your model so what you are seeing is caused by something else.  The problem is somewhere in your process but that is hard to discover and I can't really guess all day.  You have to look at these items.

This is not a dependent view is it?
