Hello, i'm a revit beginner and have this wierd problem : I have four windows, all 80cm wide, heights are 95cm, 105cm, 115cm and 125cm. Still heights are respectively : 120cm, 110cm, 100cm and 90cm. In the floor plan view, i can see the shapes and labels of the windows, but the frame only appears for the 80x125cm (still h 90cm) window. My cut plane is set to 150cm so il cuts through all the windows. The problem exists only in hidden line and shading views. the wire frame view shows everything but i would like to use the hidden line. Can anyone help ? thanks !

I've heard someone having this problem before and i think the way they fixed it was to change the cut plane height in the family to (in your case 150cm) and then save and reload the window. Doesn't seem like it should effect anything in the project but they swore it fixed the problem, so can't hurt trying... Cheers, Chris.

Nice Chris... btw, I received your tutorial and will hopefully have it up soon, I'm in the middle of moving so I haven't been able to do much else lately.

I have just encountered this exact same problem. however changing the cut plane in the family does not solve the problem. By altering the default sill height in the family to 900mm I can get my window to show correctly on the floor plan But the window then plays up on the ceiling plan. If i then change the default sill height to 1100mm the window will show in the ceiling plan but not the floor plan....which leave me with a problem.

This happens for windows 1200mm high and 900mm AFL. other windows of the same family 1800mm high and 1100mm AFL show fine on all views. I have tried adjusting the cut planes in both views & using plan regions but nothing helps.

Anybody else had this problem & found another solution?

Ok discovered my problem.

The problem was exactly the same as the above example, only when i went into the family and changed the cut level i only did it in plan view. This worked for the plans but not the ceiling plans - later i realised that i needed to change the cut plan in the ceiling plan of the family as well. Now all my plans and ceiling plans work correctly.
