Hi All,
i am looking for either some help, or if someone is willing to model this (and i will pay them).
i need to model up a portal frame of something we call "steltech" in NZ. it is essentially a tapered leg (straight on the outside) and then a series of tapered rafters.
the span of this is 60m, knee depth 1550mm. I have a 2d cad plan of the layout and info on all of the flanges and webs. I have tried setting up a parametric family with sweeps and extrusions, but to be honest my experience in this type of family creation is limited.
attached a screen grab of a simplistic one the architect has generated (i have tried editing / getting inspiration from theirs, no luck).
i would like to able to re-use the family for other sheds etc, so need to able to adjust knee depth, span, height, pitch etc.
thanks in advance,
Mark

Hi Mark
I just spent few hours this morning and built a fully parametric Steltech portal frame.
You can change your pitch, beam depths, knee heights and other parameters.
Let me know if you are interested.
Regards,
Thomas
