So I have a Civil Engineering project that is big. 50 miles long big and 50 metres wide including a few fat pipe runs and a couple of pump stations. I want to use Revit, because BIM. InB4 I dont want to use Civil3D as it is not BIM.

Has anyone done anything this big?

Can it be done?

Any advice would be appreciated. thankyou

So AutoDesk on twitter tell me the site is not too big.

While test modelling the site size, I noted that the maximum distance I can make anything is 9.144 kilometres. So thats interesting

Revit used to have extent limits of approximately 2 miles.  This was increased to 10 miles.

As far as I knew, it wasn't that these were hard limits, but weirdness and innaccuracies began to occur beyond these distances.  I know that revit can have objects this scale in a project, because by accident, imported cad sites will insanely long lines that stretch dozen or even hundreds of miles out into the aether.
