I have a project in Revit 2016. For some reason it does not have a solid drafting solid fill pattern in it. I don't see how I can create it. (solid model fill pattern is avaialable, but I need drating solid fill pattern)
Its very strange becuase if I open a new project the pattern is in the new project.
I have tried to transfer standard from another project.
I have tried to copy/paste an element that has a material that I made up that uses the cut pattern as solid fill. But in the current project the cut pattern is set back to none.
I read that you cant delete the solid fill pattern...but can you create/import it?
I am not really interesting in creating a line based fill pattern that the lines are very tight to look like it is solid...solid is want I ant (and by all accounts - should have?)
Thanks for your help.

I don't have 2016 installed yet but you are correct, you cannot delete a solid pattern so there must be something corrupt in the project. Also in 2015 there in no solid model pattern so I am not sure why you have that, eitherway if you have a solid model pattern why can't you just use that.

I can't use a model fill pattern because graphic override only uses drafting fill patterns.
I have always had solid fill model patterns available (2014 and 2016).

Opening the OOTB Architectural template provides a Drafting Solid fill, strange that yours should be Model.
However you can alter a pattern's type with the HatchKit Add-In for Revit available from our website or from Autodesk's Revit Exchange.
Starting the Add-In shows a gridlist of the patterns within the current project where a drop-down in each pattern's Type column entry allows its type to be switched.
Take a back-up of your project file before trying this as your problem may reflect a deeper problem.

The hatchkit ad in worked and now I have a solid fill drafting hatch.
But I no longer have the solid fill model hatch (I changed it from model to drafting). May not be an issue, since I dont have the need for it.
Thanks!
