Hi,

I am having problems with printing both to pdf and hardcopies. We are are working on an expansion project and typically for these projects we would place a transparent solid grey hatch over existing building floor plans. When I do this in Revit it appears as I want on screen but when printed the filled region loses its transparency and obliterates the linked CAD file behind. The below screenshots might show the problem better.

I am also experiencing this issue with some of my families. If I have symbolic lines above a Detail Component whch contains a filled region, it will appear correctly on screen but the fill jumps to the top when printed.

We are using Revit 2015 Update Release 8.

Thanks in advance for any solutions

P

You will probably not get this to work the way you like.  A couple of options you can try.

  1. Pick the hatch - over-ride graphics in view - set to halftone.  You can also adjust transparency.
  2. I like to set all of my existing components to halftone.
