Hi there, I am using Revit 2015. I am making the equipment for the kitchen with the default revit families. The problem is, when I put the kitchen hob over the counter top, it doesn´t show in the floor plan. I have even tried with the countertop with a whole, but still doesn´t show. The thing is, when I offset the hob 100 mm it appears in the floorplan, so I don't think it is related to the view range, also, the sink shows perfectly in the floor plan. I attach 3 pictures so you can have a better idea of the issue.

Many thanks.

A few possible issues

1) Open the hob in the family editor and check the visibility allows it to show the 3D parts in plan.

2) In the Revit model open a 3D view and take a look at it. Is it in the right position and the right height above the ground.

3) Check your visibility settings in plan to ensure the family category is turned on. (VV)

4) Cut a section through it and check its height is correct and that there is nothing that would obscure it.

5) In your plan view - properties - check the View Range is set such that you will see it.

6) Is anything turned off that would obscure it?

that should get you started.....
