Is there any way to create a fascia board with a repeating 3D pattern on it or will this require manually creating extrusions/voids?
I have attached a picture of the profile I need to create.
Thanks

When a facia is created with the roof fascia tool, it is just a sweep. Obviously a profile can not undulate like you want. You can create a face based void to cut your fascia or you could use a line driven family to place a repeating solid as a positive rather than a negative.

Thanks WWHub, ive gone for a repeating solid along the section, which was less hassle than I expected. Out of interest is there any way to create a family that behaves like a sweep? i.e place a repeating component along a defined path, or is the array tool the best bet?

The array - be it in a line based family or directly in the project, is the only way I know.
