This is partially a question about architectural standards, but what is the best way to show thin membrane type materials in Revit for wall sections and such detail items? For instance, I need to show a drainage layer on the exterior of my foundation wall, or the vapour barrier wrapped around my header joist, connected to air barrier on warm side of insulation, and I am not sure what the best way is. See attached detail line based family I created for such an application but it seems kind of cumbersome. I would love to know other users methods.

Thanks,

Ozren

We do it the old fashioned way, we add linework and we exaggerate the placement just like we did when we drafted the whole project.  The line might actually be inside the insulation because you can't really see it in the right place.   But so what?   This has always been standard convention.
