Is it possible to make this dimension line - as the pictures attached.

If so, please let me know how

With aligned dimensions, first get the perpendicular wall (easier that way) and then click on the angled wall intersection point. If that point doesn’t highlight, tab a few times until it does – zoom in to see.

With linear dims, just click on the intersection points.

But what if i dont want the intersection point.

I want just a random point on the diagonal line....

Cannot be done without a help of model/detail line or a ref plane.

What good is the dimension if it doesn't go to anything?  Doesn't make any sense!
