This seems easy, but I am failing. I created a "Profile" based family [SEE FIG 1] but it will not allow me to use it. Why not?
FIG 2 is what I am after. How do I accomplish this?

Go to architecture tab->wall (little pull down arrow)->wall sweep->edit type (in properties)->duplicate->under construction (profile) pick your profile (bear plate).

I would not had guessed to use it was a wall sweep, but that did it.
