Hello, I am trying to export a model from Revit to 3ds Max using the Suite Workflows option in Revit. The problem is no matter what combination method I choose (combine by material is the one I want), the final project in 3ds Max is not combined the way I chose. I could import it from 3ds using Link Revit but that way causes some visual issues on cylindrical models (eg columns). The cylinder is smoothed all the way around (with auto-smooth checked in the link options) but always one or 2 edges are visible and not smoothed out. This issue does not occur if I use the built in Revit workflow but then the problem is it does not combine by material. Generally what I see is a very poor job as a matter of autodesk's programms synergy.. Anyone has any idea how that can be fixed? Thanks.
