Hello,
I had a question about families in the families editor. When the family types dialog box is open and then you add a parameter, in the parameter properties dialog box there are options in the "Type Of Parameter" pulldown. Is there any way to add custom made options. I know that if the discipline is changed other options will populate but i am looking to create a custom type of parameter. Would anyone know how to pursue this action?
Thank you

There are only 2 parameter choices here - 'instance' and 'type'. You are confusing this with system parameters based on the family category.
If you start with the correct category template to begin with, you should see the associated parameters for that category. For those families where you start with a generic template, you need to set the family category and parameters by clicking on the upper right icon in the properties box while in the family editor.
If you mean the parameter data settings then what you see is what you get. This is all system level and you have to fit under those options. Other is always available.
