Hi Everyone,

I'm very new to revit and I was trying to create this existing church for my boss in revit.

I do have an attached file to show you want type of wall I am trying to create.

I figured out how I could create the blue brick but I don't know how to spilt the elements to create the fancy architectural block in the center and than attach it to the roof.

Any Ideas?

Thanks!!

Use an in-place void to cut the wall.   Set the wall face as the work plane in an elevation view that is parallel with the wall.  Set the void to wall category. Create the first outline in the sketch then array it to fill the area required.  And set it to cut the wall before finishing.

This can also be done with a face based family.

This existing church is in a shape of a haxagon and I've already created just a basic wall all the way around and attached them to the roofs. I am a little confused with how to do the void in place. Do I just double click on the wall and edit the profile or what other way can I approach to accomplish this?

Sorry for not understanding, this is my first time using Revit
