I have revised my lighting and plumbing layouts and added new light and plumbing fixtures into my project, but they do not appear in the schedules. I only see the previous ones. Filter is set to none. Please advice, I am really frustrated. Thank you in advance.

First thing to check is are they really a light fixture? It doesn't matter what they look like or what they are called. They must be correct in the family.
Are you using phases or design options?
What Revit? What updates?

I checked the family, it is under lighting fixtures family. I am using phases, it is inserted under new construction, similar to other light fixtures. I am not using design options. Working under Revit 2014.

OK.... FIRST - You don't say what Revit. There have been updates on every issue of Revit and although I don't know any that have any issues like you are complaining about, make sure you are up to date.
Now - I have seen Revit 'loose' sheets in a project because the file got corrupted. Do you maintain your files correctly? Although the lost sheets will not be fixed by auditing, you should audit your central file on a schedule dependent on the modifications to the file. If 4 people are working in the file daily, you might want to audit once a week. If it's just you, then maybe once a month. Prior to auditing, you should run the 'review warnings' and fix the items you can fix. That should be done on a more frequent basis then auditing.
So, if your Revit did loose your sheets, create a new sheet and see if that schedules. If not, then either you have filters in your sheet schedule or the file is corrupted. Fix that. If it does schedule, move everything from the lost sheet to your new sheet, delete the old sheet and renumber/title your new sheet. Still audit the file if you have not done so.
