HAllo I´ve made a new plumbing fixture family - sink using a dwg drawing as a link, which I used to draw symbolic lines. The sink is attached to a wall. When I change the wall width in the family editor, the sink changes the position with the wall width. in all view the sink is aligned and locked to reference line - back, which is aligned and locked to wall face. But when I upload the sink to a project, in left/right view, the sink is aligned to wall width from the famili editor instead of the project. That means, that if the wall width in the famili editor is 25cm and in the project is 40cm, the sink is inside the wall. Please can enybody check the file and write me, where I made a mistake. Thanx

I had a read of your model. I think the problem is you only lock the line which is attached to the wall without setting the relationship of the lines which are away from the wall, such as dimensioning them, so the line work you did on the plan view is not working correctly. Since you are using the import of an existing 3D CAD model to Revit, I suggest you draw a 2D Detial component of the basin plan view, and you assemble the 2D Detail Component of the basin and the import 3D CAD model in a Plumbing Fixture Family. I think that is the easier way to fix the problem.

also you might want to flex your assemblies before loading them into your project to test whether or not your relationships are working correctly best regards, coreed, aia
