I'm seeing a really unusual error. I'm trying to help another user in my model who inadvertantly moved some elements that are taking a bunch of other elements with them. I do to the undo stack to try and re-trace the steps but I get a message saying that I "Can't undo or redo because elements are not editable." Huh? I go to worksets and try and switch the users elements to editable making him the owner and the error keeps repeating. I try having the user Reload Latest and the error keeps happening. Bad Revit! I'm trying to figure out how to work around this glitch so I can salvage the work the user did before this happened. Any ideas?

Not bad revit ...
First, you do know that you can only undo if you have not saved?
OK... Do you allow users to own worksets or do you only borrow elements? Look at your Collaborate tab and see if worksets are owned and change that appropriately.
Has someone else taken up ownership of an element? They would have to relinquish all theirs and then you would have to reload.... oops - then their is no undo possible - right?

No items have been checked out. File has neither been saved nor synched and in the former case, this typically has never been an issue. It is happening more often now as well. I have never come across this issue before, so I'm sorry there must be more to it than that.

There is no way to undo since you have already saved to central!
If you need to go backwards, then you need to rollback the file.

That's what I'm saying. I haven't saved to central. Yet the error occured. I understand what you're saying though. I can repeat the error if I try to undo after saving to central. Which makes abosulte sense. My point is that yesterday I saw the the error at some point before user saved to central. I verified this when I rolled back the file and saw the time stamps. There was clearly a stack of commands run after the sync yet these were unable to be undone. I guess I will have to dig further to see why I'm getting this glitch and keep a rolled up newspaper close at hand just in case Revit has an accident on the rug again.
