So, I was adding some blockouts to my wall panels for a project I'm working on, and it seems that if the blockout goes all the way to the edge of the panel, so that it's open on one side, then the footing automatically puts itself into the top edge of that blockout. Why does it do this? I've attached a screenshot of what I'm talking about. Thanks!

Sorry but that is the wal Revit works. Leave a tiny sliver of wall there... like 1/256" high.

WWHub thanks. I actually figured it out after looking around some more. Instead of editing the wall profile I used the wall opening tool and just did it that way and it seems to have solved the problem.
