I am working in Revit 2015 (not that I think it will matter).

I have an old project that I am doing some new work in.  I want to take the old model and move all the elements to the existing phase.  How do I do that and not loose information.  I am guessing it is not as simple as switching all items phased from New Construction to Existing.  If I do that, what will happen to items that are listed to be demolished in New Construction?  If I convert all my demolished items to be demolished in Existing phase then they become temporary.  Do I run the risk of something not being right if I simply delete all my demolished items?

I am assuming I am not the first person who has ever wanted to do this.  Is there an add-on, blog, thread or instructions that anyone is aware of that can help me out with not completely screwing up my model in this process?

Thanks for your help.

Maybe this was a simple question.  Is the Combine Phase button what I am looking for?  When I use this, what happens to all my demolished items?  Do they just go away like I would like or is there something else happening that I should be aware of?

I've never used the combined phase ... try it and tell us what happens.  You can always go back to the previous model.

Demolished items hopefully go away completely... afterall, they no longer are existing.
