I am a BIM manager who's been asked to look for ways to increase a team's efficiency in Revit.  To assist with this task, I have at my disposal two Revit models for review; one from a more efficient team and another from a less efficient team.  My question it, do you have suggestions on what to look for in the model that might become an efficiency issue in the real world?  I have already though to look at relative file size, number of warnings and the specs for the computers that they are running.

Does anyone know of a good resource for analyzing two contrasting workflows to maximize the efficiency of the slower workflow?

We are talking about increasing user efficiency, not computer speed.  Specifically, I am curious about how to look at a Revit model tohelp determine how a workflow could be changed to increase efficiency.

I'm very interested in your post and the response you will get. I'm a BIM coordinator in Australia working mainly on hospitals.

my experience has been.

Model Performanace need to consider: File size, sheets/views output per file, worksets, LAN speed, no of modellers accessing the central model at anyone time.

Workflow: If utilizing model link as a mainform of work flow, then i suppose model element author is critical.

anyway i may not have answer your question but is interested to know how others have setup their workflow between all disclipine specifically Architectural and MEP.

Cheers
