Hi,

I've been using Revit for about 2 years now, but never really had much to do with creating families.

I wish to take a 3D person from SketchUp and create a Revit family.

The process which has worked in the past for other items is: Insert > Import CAD > *choose my .skp file*, inserts to the RFA, then I can save, and load to my project.

However I am left with too much mesh. The warning in Revit: "Some ACIS objects could not be imported. To import them, use AutoCAD to convert them into polymesh objects and reimport."

Could anyone please explain how to convert to polymesh in autocad, if this will end up with a smoothed surface?

Thanks

Mark
