I have motor symbols nested in my families, we would like to have the Mech Equip show halftone on the power plans but still have the motor symbols dark. When I halftone the Mech Equip category the nested annotation gets halftoned as well. Also, if the equipment is connected to a system the annotation takes on the color of the system. I would like to have the motor symbols be nested but still retain control of visibility graphics via the annotation category. I know there is an heirarchy of visibility graphics, I just don't like that I can't control the annotation symbol from the annotation category. Is there a way to avoid this without using a separate annotation symbol?

A little bit of a work around could be make a shared parameter to reference in a custom tag, and incorporate the shared parameter into the piece of mechanical equipment, and when you tag it just turn the leader off, then move it into place. Not the greatest, but it's something. =/.
