Hi all,
A colleague has asked me to look at an issue he has.
Screenshot attached of the schedule in question.
Each field from column B to J is a simple text field.
My colleague want to quantify the number of "yes" inputs in each column.
I know that if they were number fields, then yes it is easy. But as they are text fields, can this actually be done?
Excel can do it, and we are tryig to avoid exporting to excel just to get a total.
He is using Revit 2014.
Any feedback is welcome.
Cheers,
Kristian

Sorry but Revit doesn't have many text functions. You can look in your help to see what is available.

The solution to this seems so simple I may be misunderstanding your question. To tally the total of 'yes' for one field you just need to filter your schedule. See my attached image for the settings- I tested with one parameter.
The schedule will only show those set to 'yes' and then give you a total. You could do this individually for each finish within the same schedule, or create the same schedule over and over and filter each one differently. Hope this makes sense for you!
*In theory you could also filter for all spaces that have both timber flooring and paint, or another combination, too*

Thanks HKicsak,
Not quite what we had in mind.
We are trying to count the totals for EACH column within the one table, without filtering out the ones that dont equal "YES".
Impretty sure this cant be done in Revit with its limited scheuling functionality, but im happy to be proven wrong!
Thanks,
Kristian
