So, how do you make, say a floor on the level above, show up on this level as hidden line?
Underlay option won't allow a change in linetype
Is the only answer linework?

Typically to do this i overlay the level on the sheet, set it to wireframe, override the linetype for the elements I want to show and turn off all unwanted elements.
This is the most automated way, as using the linework tool on the underlay often requires updating manually when new elements are introduced.
