HI,

I NEED TO CREATE A RAISED ACCESS FLOOR OF 300MM CONCRETE SLAB, 850MM AIR GAP AND 100MM FLOOR FINISH. THE RAISED ACCESS FLOOR IS ONLY IN CERTAIN AREAS AND THEREFORE AN UPSTAND OFF 300MM IS REQUIRED TO BOX OFF THESE AREAS.

I HAVE CREATED THE FLOOR STRUCTURE I NEED (SEE FLOOR TYPE SCREENSHOT) BUT HOW DO I CREATE THE UPSTAND? DO I HAVE TO DRAW INDIVIDUAL WALLS THROUGHOUT THE BUILDING OR CAN I WRAP THE STRUCTURE (300MM FLOOR SLAB) UPWARDS. MY BUILDING IS VERY LARGE AND COMPLEX AND I WOULD LIKE TO AVOID 'FLOATING' WALLS/UPSTANDS IN THE MODEL IF POSSIBLE.

IS A FLOOR SLAB EDGE THE ONLY OPTION?

PLEASE SEE THE CAD SECTION ATTACHED TO EXPLAIN WHAT I NEED. THE BLUE HATCH IS THE ACCESS/AIR GAP AREA IN THE FLOOR STRUCTURE.

ALL HELP WELCOME,

KYLIE

We just completed a large electrical control center last year that had raised floors on two levels.   We created levels for the finish level and sub-levels for the structural floor.  We placed the computer floor on the finish level and structural floor on the sub-level.  The upstand as you call it was concrete block so obviously, we used walls.  If it were cast-in-place concrete, we could have used walls or slab edges.

Model like you build it.
