I am still fairly new to Revit but I feel I have most of the basic concepts down. I come from an AutoCAD background firstly. We have a really simple detail callout which I've attached (AutoCAD Callout) that we use to specify a certain details on elevations/plan views. I want to use this exact callout when calling out details in Revit. Revit only has one callout that I can use throughout the project which I've attached a picture of it (Revit-Callout). It seems like the Revit callout is good for enlarging certain elevation views or for plan views. But I want to use the Autocad callout for calling out actual detail components. I cannot find any tutorials for this online. For the Revit callout mark, I'm looking for a way to somehow turn the linetype to a solid and fill in the space with a solid color.
I would much appreciate if anyone has any solid tips for this.
Thanks,
-J

View tab->Section (create panel)->in properties click on Type Selector and pick ‘Detail’->place the section in your model.

Thanks, that kind of gets what I want. But I'd like to have a fully adjustable leader line. The more I'm thinking about it, that's ultimately what I'm after. A closed, fully adjustable leader line. Anyone have an idea?

Your image is a section cut and that can not be modified.
A detail callout can have the segmented leader - see attached.
And now for the rest of the story..... Obviously, I used a tiny callout bubble - the blob on the end of the callout leader. That doesn't work - right? It does if the view has already been created and this callout is a "Reference other view".
