I am creating the text file for my type catalog and have had no problems filling in the parameters.
When a family has 2 or more types, is there a way to list in the catalog which type it should use.
For example:
I have a family for web penetrations in Wide Flange beams. There are the usual beam parameters which are listed in the type catalog. Additionally, in the family I have two types: SQ (for square openings, H_opening = W_opening) and RECT (for rectangule openings, H_opening independent of W_opening). I'd like to be able to select the beam size (i.e. W12x50) along with the opening type (SQ or RECT).
Based on the help file section "Creating a Type Catalog" it would seem like I could have two entries:
W12x50 SQ
W12x50 RECT
How do I relate an entry in the type catalog to a specific type in the family?
