I have a question that im sure will be easy to answer. Im a beginner and i am a little confused. Let me explain. I have tennis courts and basketball courts. Both are of the same family - "Generic Models". I need the Tennis courts to show up in the site plan, and the basketball courts to show up in the floor plan. As of now, they are both showing up in the floor plan. My uneducated question is... How do i get the tennis courts to show up in the site plan. Can i change the family type of the tennis courts (or any model for that matter)? PS. I have tried messing with the visibility settings and neither of them show up under the generic models category. Thanks, Joel Post edited on 2006-03-13 03:48:55 Post edited on 2006-03-13 03:57:54 Post edited on 2006-03-13 04:15:41 Post edited on 2006-03-13 04:16:23

you may be able to save them again on your pc and change the family type so that they are different, then you should be able to change the visibility.

. I think family catagory could be your answer. Try this, In the 'family editor' go to > Settings > Family Catagory and Parameters. (Have you seen this before?) You can change the family catagory and then use the visibility controls once you place the family in a model. Iie: Make the Tennis court a Site Catagory. In other words you could actually tell a window family that it is in a door catagory and it would turn off if you turned off door visibility. dg http://www.dgcad.com
