Hi all;This issue which i have searched over forums and Youtube , i couldn't find a solution I am newly revit user, i might miss a solution which i searched over a week, ok here is my question;i want to show interior partition walls only 1 line work but same time i want to keep my exterior (brick , CMU, Metal Stud, and Gyp Brd layers as detailed in Fine Level in my Plans,,,Is there easy way to apply to my drawings? I foundout graphic visibilty settings and overiting the line types of the walls, but it applies to all walls..Please help )))thanks for reading my post ...

It is impossible to have more than one detail level in one view, but you can create the effect you’re after on the sheet putting one view on top of the other.

Create another view of your floor plan, set it to coarse, create a view template with filters and VG settings to display interior walls only. Initially it requires some set up, but once it’s all done, it is just a matter of applying the view template.

thank you very much for your clear explanation, i will try to apply to my project, my concern is only i have multiple levels, so if i create a dublicate plans , i do not know how it would be end up controlling, but anyway i wont cont. to search .I think revit should allow us to control it ..

There is nothing wrong in having multiple views. As a matter of fact, it is even desirable to have separate plans/views to show furniture, fire exit paths, floor finish pattern, etc., …or to show walls detail level as in your case.

You can also use just a generic wall type with only one layer, if you don’t need to schedule the materials or show wall layers on any other plan or section view.

What are you referring to by ‘controlling’?
