Hello all,

I've got a simple question inquiring about how you guys model a slab into a header block (please see attached image).  My 2 methods are 1. take the slab into the header block then do a void sweep or 2. stop the slab at the header block like shown then model another piece of slab around the building perimeter and join it to the existing slab.  After doing this on several projects, either way seems to work fine but I was wondering if you guys had an easier method that I'm not familiar with?  Any advice is welcomed! Thanks.

Why not use a simple slab edge?

guess I've never really thought about doing it that way.  CryingI'm not super familiar with that process). Could you elaborate? I've obviously used slab edges to create a turn down at entry and so forth so I'm a little experienced with that if it helps lead me in the right direction.

Slab edge is really just a built in sweep process.   Start with the generic profile family and chage the usage to slab edge.   In this case, you want the edge to extend beyond the sketched slab so pay attention to where you sketch the edge in the profile.  Load the profile and create a new slab edge type using that.

oops, sorry for the double post.   I got it!  thanks man.  that will save me some time on future projects.  thanks again for the help as usual WWHub.  For some silly reason I never thought about doing it as a slab edge.  Props again to RevitCity on helping improve the modeling process.
