I'm trying to create an electrical/mechanical coordination schedule with editable parameters. I've done this with a single MEP central file. However, I'm not sure if this can be done over two separate central files (one electrical and one mechanical).
The shared parameters are loaded into the mechanical family, project parameters and schedule. The parameters are set to a common discipline, text and 'instance' but it's still not editable.
Here's the strange thing. The 'Type Mark' and 'Location' are being filtered through fine on the schedule. But the other parameters are not.
Any ideas?

In order to change any element's parameter, you have to own the family..... The family has to be in your file. (Copy monitored families are owned because they are a copy)
