I had an 11 week course in school so I have a little understanding of what to do. However, there is so much in this program, just like any other. I feel like I need to reteach myself, the class I had wasn't that great. Is there any material that is understandable to that of a person who needs things "explained like I'm five"?

The Mastering Revit book series are a very good tool. There are also great websites such as CADClips.com and youtube for example that have a ton of how to videos. There is also Revits built in HELP that you should look into.

Also Lynda.com has great tutorials for beginners.... i use them often to touch up on some skills.... and if you still a student you may get access for free...
