Can someone please tell me what to do about these huge dimension parameters (see pic) they arent even associated in the 3D view. but still show up. not sure how to control this, but its blocking my view of the model.

Either change the view scale to make the dim smaller, or just simply turn that category off: VV->Annotation Categories tab->uncheck Dimensions.

Cool. thanks. more though wondering why they show up. both dims were drawn on the exterior view. not the 3d. Easily hidden I know. buggy though.

Dim parameters that are associated with the geometry itself (as opposed to being related to the ref lines and planes) will show up in 3D view.

OMG, thank you. I was suspecting something like that, but wasnt sure. Just noticed that it was the ones that Dimed  on Geom.
