Hi all,

I have been trying to import an AutoCad file into Revit and so far have been relatively unsuccessful. I have been using the Import CAD function and manage to get the image into revit, however the dimensions on the drawing in Revit are much smaller than those in AutoCad.

It is not a complex file, just lines, but the shapes are difficult to replicate accurately.

I am using Revit 2014 and the CAD file was created using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012.

Am I failing to properly prepare the file for import into Revit or is there something else I am missing?

Sounds like you have a 'units' problem. Make sure the units of the imported CAD file coorispond to the units in the REVIT file. Worst case scenerio scAle the CAD file in REVIT. Always pay attention to the units settings as you import the CAD file.
