Hi all
I'm trying to figure out how to create a slab rebate into a concrete floor.
i.e. I am using brick veneer construction where the outer brick and air gap sit below the timber frame.
Is there a tool to do this? I know there is a tool to ADD slab edges ... but I want to CUT the concrete. In the past I have created a full depth slab for the middle ... then built a thinner slab for the rebate. I then go into section and use fills/join geometry etc to tidy up.
This is a very popular method of construction in Australia so would like to know if there are any better ideas out there.

I don't know what a slab "rebate" is. Is it just a thickened edge? If so just use that tool and if your slab and the thickened edge are the same material they will appear to be joined

Hi teafoe
I've attached an image to help illustrate the issue.
There are two images ... the image on the left shows the slab rebate (cut into the slab).
It's popular in Australia and New Zealand.

I would create that using the thickend slab edge and give it that profile.
