Hi, Does anybody know if you can somehow snap to a section.

I know you can move a section and snap it to a line but I would like to be able to measure a distance from a grid line to a section or draw a line in plan from the location of my section.

I have tried altering my section head to include a reference plane but it didn't work.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Well that really really sux...

Thanks for letting me know. I guess Revit will make me fudge it.

I was trying to measure to a curved bounday in my section. I have already detailed the section and therefore I didnt want to move it.

Maybe one day they will fix it?

DL, ML, measure tool, RP and grid will snap to the section marker ends (tail). They will not snap to the end where a section head is visible- must be a tail marker or nothing. Hope it helps.

Thankyou very much Pijpiwo, That did help a lot. I did think I could snap to the tail but wasn't able to with my drawing.

After your suggestion I tried again and realised that I couldn't snap to my sections because they had been split. I rejoined the sections and was able to snap to the tail again.

Thankyou very much Pijpiwo, I'm back in business! you're a legend.
