Hello,

I'm fairly new to Revit but took a crash course and I'm quickly learning how to do most things. My question is how do I create a rendering of my floor plan where the site is rendered but it shows a cut of the floor plan that is not rendered. I've attached an example of someone else's work that shows what I'm trying to accomplish just in case what I'm asking is unclear.

Thanks.

Hi,

I Just had a crack at it. But the only way I could think to do so was layer the two views, rendered site plan and floor plan, into a sheet, make them the same scale and place the floor plan over the desired section. There is probably a better way to do so... I hope that helps anyway.

Thanks!!!

That got me headed in the right direction. Here's what I did.

I created a 3d view like suggested and rendered. Then I created a new sheet, inserted the 3d view then inserted a floor plan view on top of it. It took a little trial and error to get the views perfectly aligned plus figuring out what I wanted to show and keep hidden in plan view, but I got it done! So in short, exactly what you said and it was relatively painless.

Thanks again for the help!
