Hi there.

I'm currently using Revit 2014 on Windows 7.

Just wondering if anyone else has issues with roof hatching in external elevations not showing up once printed ? (Our elevations are normally 1:100)

We have set up our standard roofs to have a "model fill material" applied to it to give the appearance of corrigated iron.  It's just 100mm Vertical hatching which was added to the roof via roof properties.

What I am noticing is that when the roof pitch is 7.5º or lower this hatch won't show up in the external elevations once printed. Any pitch higher than this I don't seem to have this issue.

Is it just maybe our printer and how it reads the information? Or is there a way to change the properties in revit so that it prints out. It doesn't even show up once pdf'd either.

At the moment our short term solution is creating a filled region over that area to indicate that hatch but this is very annoying and time consuming.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

When hatch lines get too close together because of view scale, or in your instance, angle of the element, Revit will never print the hatch.  You might create a different material, same properties except hatch for these roofs.

Thanks.

Will keep that in mind and will update our standards accordingly.
