If you accidentally draw model lines (when you meant to draw detail lines so they don't show up in the 3-d views) is there a way to change the model lines to detai lines instead of having to go back and redraw them? Can't find an option in the lines properties box... Thx~

Model lines have 3 dimensional coordinates within the model. Detail lines have 2 dimesnional coordinates within views and sheets. They are fundamentally different lines. The best you can hope for is using the pick tool to draw detail lines on top of your model lines. Then you can go into the model and delete your model lines. We wanted to switch model lines to symbolic lines within a family but couldn't accomplish it without using the pick tool.

1. Copy the model lines to the clipboard.

2. Go into Filled Region sketch mode.

3. Paste the model lines.

4. Select them, then copy again.

5. Quit Filled Region sketch mode.

6. Paste the clipboard.

Your model lines are now detail lines.

If you need to convert detail ines to model lines, it should work the other way round

when using Floor sketch mode instead of Filled REgion sketch mode.

Nice work around and thanks. As more people switch in our office to Revit from AutoCAD mistakes like using the wrong line type happen.
