have made a mirror in editor (simple extrusion - face based), used 'mirror' material.  Load into project, rendered a camera shot - yep works well - reflections, depth, bounce etc all good.  Happy camper.  Would like to change the 'realistic' visual style of the mirror from black to something else (anything).  Help appreciated.

Family editor - material mirror.  Checked material appearnace, RGB settings, show as rendered.

Project: manage -> materials.  checked material all appears the same ie.  no overriding of family 'mirror' material by project 'mirror' material as they are the same.

Even went in and checked the acceleration on the video card (desperate/sinking/clutching at anything), even applied a change to the transparency to make sure I was working on the right object (yes I was/am).

this question has appeared elsewhere but doesn't appear to have a response.

Using Revit2014.

Is there another mirror on the other side of it created the infinity mirror effect? If so Revit will only do so many reflation before rendering it as black.
