i'm using Revit 2014.
when i try to create a section or callout on a floor plan, it keeps teling me the following:
"None of the created elements are visible in Floor Plan: Level 1 View. You may want to check the active view, its Parameters, and Visibility settings, as well as any Plan Regions and their settings."
I THINK i've gone thru all of those settings, and I can't seem to find any issues with the settings anywhere... anyone have any ideas??

Are those two categories (sections & callouts) on in VG / annotations?
If that doesn't fix your problem, change the view scale to a much larger scale and see if they show up. If they do, then click on one and see if they are hidden at "scales coarser than xxx"
Also - are you using phases?

yes they are ON in VG/annotations.
changing view scale does nothing.
Phase Filter is set to "None"
Phase is set to "New Construction"

I have 2 sections that I created quite some time earlier in the project that are showing in the plan views, these were created when I first started building the model... but it seems like any new sections I try to create are now invisible...

I have tried a work-around... I created a new plan view of the same floor plan, and now if i create a new section it shows up on the plan view... strange thing though - the sections that DO show up in the original floor plan do NOT show up in my duplicate floor plan........????
ANY THOUGHTS FROM ANYONE???

You don't say what updates you have installed.
It appears that something is wrong in your process. I still think phases.
