Hi All, just want some feedback on what people use Keynotes for in general? Updating the office system, and want to use keynote more effectively. I've only ever used keynote for demolition works on the drawings... any other effective areas that can improve the project management process?

Thanks

I really like keynotes because they are uniform across the project.  You can use keynote tags with a keynote legend or you can use text keynotes.  In many cases, we prefer the text.

We also use different tag shapes for different keynotes.  Architectural - demolition - toilet accessories.  Obviously, we filter the keynote legend accordingly and have this symbol in the associated keynote legend.

We are using keynotes for noting the FF&E (Furniture, Fixture & Equipment).

Some of our projects require FF&E plans and schedules.

Each FF&E family has shared parameters, with customized FF&E Keynote Tag, and FF&E Keynotes.txt file per CSI format.

We can place all FF&E on the plan, then click Keynotes in Annotation Tab, just hovering the cursor on top of that furniture, then a "ghost" keynote will be shown, then just click and place the keynote. No typing required, and all FF&E will have the keynotes to match our master FF&E list. Then a FF&E schedule can be populated with all information, such as manufacturer, model number, description and quantity.

Log on, go to "Forums", select topic, for example, "Community", click "Newbies",at the top, click "Start New Thread". Post your questions, then just click "Submit" on the very bottom.

That's it.

And welcome to the RevitCity!
