I am using multiple "system" curtain wall panels to create my facade for an office. I can only seems to schedule of the amount of panels (as shown in schedule attachment) but I cant seem to find a way of calculating the area of multiple panels.
The schedule shows the height of the panels, but this is a simple text parameter override. But the length is more complicating, as there is alot of different lengths of the same panel!
When you select 1 panel, the area shows up in the properties (As single panel selection attachement) when you select multiple ones (which are the same family type) the area doesnt calculate (As multiple panel selection).
I cant do a calculate value in the schedule, as you need length and height to calculate the area.
Does anybody know how to do this, if its possible?
I am using Revit 2013

In shortness, I would like to add a collumn to the end of my schedule, calculating the area per group of panels!

Why are you not using the material takeoff?

Material Takeoff works when you itemize each panel.
But when you group these panels together, it will count how many panels you have, but the area will go blank (As attached).
I was hoping Revit would calculate the overall area of multiple panels?

Use a different group!
I added a "Panel Type" (Schedule parameter) to my schedule so I could group all the same sized panels. Just sorted by the two sizes, don't itemize, named the group then used that to do my final schedule. Remember, you can mess with these schedules (or copies) as much as you need to fill in data.
