I want to put shared parameters into all my families so I can control the the versions in our library, so I am adding Version, DateChecked, CheckerInitials etc to families.

I can use the 'Extensions' add in from the subscription centre to bulk load these shared parameters into every family in a folder automatically (using Tools-Shared/Project Parameters - pretty impressed by this!) so all doors and windows etc now have the correct parameters in them, great, but now I still need to open EVERY family to add the correct information in the 'formulas' column in the Family Type dialogue (Version = "1.0", DateChecked = "2014.09.20" ect)

Is there a way to do this automatically without opening EVERY family?

You'll need another extension or an API. Nothing out of the box but I'd keep looking.

I suppose to ensure that ALL the families are totally current & specifiec correctly I REALLY should go through each one individually!
