I have a 3d Autocad survey and I am wondering if it is possible to use the 3d polys and levels to create existing site features?

I have tried to draw lines and effectively trace over the 3d cad data but 3d snaps don't seem to work and I always have to place lines on a reference level/plane which means if the existing site feature isn't flat, I cant accurately model it.

Any ideas on how I can go about this? I am trying model a railway platform, which is not flat from one end to the other.

Thanks

You would be far better off to model as Revit elements.  Modeling the platform as a floor would allow you to slope it as you need to to show existing conditions.

Thanks WWHub. Seems like a good idea to keep everything as a Revit elements and using a floor should do the trick.

Next question: I have created a basic family, in this case a coper and i need to place these along the front of the platform. Do i have to place each one individually? Or is there a way to place multiple ones along an edge?

I don't know what a coper is.

If these elements are just placed at a fixed spacing, then array them.  If the move up/down - in/out with the edge then place them individually.
