Whenever I do a plant box or a garden at the second floor, I always use a slab to make a soil for the plants and trees. I tried using toposurface but the depth of the soil is not editable. Is there another way to add the soil? Thanks

You are right - you can;t really do this as topo but you don't need to do it as a floor either. This is just a solid using earth material. It could be a parametric, generic family or if only a couple in the project, an in-place family.

I tried the in-place massing. It works pretty well. Thanks.

Why massing? New users overuse this category.
